Broken watering trough found quickly due to various smaXtec alarms
A smaXtec customer received several alerts about the drinking behaviour and rumination of a number of cows. However, the animals showed no signs of a health problem. After a thorough check, she then discovered that the trip switch in the water pump was broken and the trough was not filling. If the problem had remained undetected for longer, this would lead to a stress situation for the cows. Without sufficient access to water, they consume less feed, their activity decreases, they become more susceptible to diseases and their milk yield falls as a result. Fortunately, thanks to smaXtec, this did not happen!

Double sole diagnosed at an early stage by the smaXtec system
With the help of smaXtec, a double sole could be detected on a cow. The cow only had an increased normal temperature, whereupon the farmer tested the milk for mastitis. However, the test was negative. In the evening, he then examined the cow’s hooves and eventually found the cause. If the customer had not discovered the double sole thanks to smaXtec, sole ulcers, sole tip ulcers and white line abscesses or purulent leather skin infections could have developed within a short time.
